It is with deep embarrassment for my country that I write this next blog entry. I have noticed that this little site has had quite a few visitors from the USA recently, I wish it were under more pleasant circumstances.
I would just like to make it clear that in no way does the British Government reflect the opinion of the majority of the voters in the UK.
Yesterday, one of the most unpleasant and dangerous characters in the UK was released early from prison. He had his jail term reduced by the Appeal Court - along with four other extremists convicted of supporting terror. They served 3.1/2 years of a 4.1/2 year sentence.
On one of the websites, one supporter wrote: "This is absolutely wonderful news. May Allah reward you for sharing this with us."'The man is a modern day Muslim hero! Just look at the wisdom and generosity of Allah - he really does relieve those who stand up and are firm in his cause." Three of his “associates” also had their sentences reduced.
They are now free to preach their putrid bile in our country once again.
Douglas Murray, director of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said the men were a danger to society.
'Abu Izzadeen and his organisation publicly call for attacks against those whom they see as enemies of Islam,' he said.
'Their ideology not only glorifies violent jihad but teaches their followers that taking part in suicide bombings is their duty as Muslims.
'The early release of a hate preacher like Abu Izzadeen demonstrates that the British courts are still far away from understanding the very clear and present danger that this country is facing from militant Islamists.'
Izzadeen IS A PREACHER OF HATRED!
Abu Izzadeen, born as Trevor Brooks (18 April 1976), is a spokesman for Al Ghurabaa, a Muslim organization banned under the Terrorism Act 2006 for the glorification of terrorism, that operated in the United Kingdom. Abu Izzadeen is a British man born in Hackney, East London to a family originally from Jamaica. Brooks converted to Islam a day before he turned 18, on the 17 April 1994, changing his name to Omar, but preferring to be called Abu Izadeen.
He and his Arab-born wife Mokhtaria have three children. In 2006, he placed a personal advertisement on an Islamic matrimonial website, seeking to marry up to three more wives in order to father more than nine children.
Polygamy is illegal in the UK.
He and fellow British-born Muslim convert Simon Keeler were handed the same jail term after making a series of rabble-rousing speeches at a central London mosque. Four fellow fanatics were also jailed.
The defendants were all members of an extreme Islamist group known as Al-Muhajiroun, which has been banned only to allegedly regroup under a different name.
They made speeches in November 2004 outside the Regent's Park Mosque in London - at the same time as U.S. and British soldiers were fighting fierce battles against insurgents in Fallujah, Iraq.
The court heard the men urged their audience to join the fight against coalition forces and to donate money to insurgent groups. Footage was uncovered of him calling for the beheading of any Muslim in the British army and his voice was recorded in support of Osama Bin Laden.
Abu Izzadeen met Omar Bakri Muhammed and Abu Hamza al-Masri at Finsbury Park Mosque in the 1990s; this is when he is thought to have been radicalized. He visited Pakistan in 2001, before the September 11 attacks, as part of Al-Muhajiroun; he claims he went there to give a series of lectures (he’s an electrician). He also claimed to have attended terror training camps in Afghanistan.
He described the 7/7 suicide bombers in London as "completely praiseworthy". On the eve of the anniversary of the 7/7 attacks in London, he was filmed preaching to a group of Muslims in Birmingham (UK) mocking and laughing at the victims of 9/11 and threatening further terror attacks in the UK. He has openly stated that he wishes to die as a suicide bomber.
On 20 September 2006, Abu Izadeen and Anjem Choudary disrupted Home Secretary John Reid's first public meeting with Muslims since his appointment. He called Reid an "enemy" of Islam. In an interview on BBC Radio on 22 September 2006 Abu Izadeen stated that his aim was for the UK to become an Islamic state and that this should be achieved without following the democratic process.
British police arrested Abu Izadeen on charges of inciting terrorism on 2007-02-08. A spokesman for Scotland Yard said the arrest is related to an "on-going inquiry," involving a speech Abu Izadeen gave in the West Midlands area in 2006. He was arrested again in a pre-dawn police raid on 2007-04-24 under the Terrorism Act 2000 "in connection with inciting others to commit acts of terrorism overseas and terrorist fundraising".
On 2008-04-17 Izzadeen was among six men convicted at Kingston Crown Court of supporting terrorism, while the jury failed to reach a verdict on a third charge of encouraging terrorism. He was subsequently jailed for four and a half years.
I have a suggestion for the government in particular Jacqui. Why not deport Izzadeen? His wife is an Arab and he should be able to live in the country of her birth. I’m sure they would be much happier in am Islamic country!
In other words, tell him to FUCK OFF IF HE DOESN'T LIKE LIFE IN THE UK!
Then, let Mr Savage enter the country to remind the rest of the Government what “FREE SPEECH” means as opposed to “PREACHER OF HATE”.
