When Jacqui decided to put Michael Savage's name on her "banned to enter Britain" list (even though he had no plans to actually visit), she obviously didn't think he would take it so personally. He has launched a £100,000 libel action against her :)
Mr Savage is an outspoken radio broadcaster who expresses views "likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence" said Jacqui. His name is included on the list that contains Nazis, Islamic Extremists, terrorists and killers.
I guess she needs to include "those that advocate free speech" on her list too....
No doubt if Jacqui loses, she'll charge it to expenses!
That would be so cool seeing her lose a libel case.

ReplyDeleteI do not see why a talk show host is banned from the UK but convicted rapist Mike Tyson was welcomed into this country. That gives out completely the wrong kind of message.

ReplyDeleteFree publicity of any kind, is good publicity. I've listened to him a couple of times, and I can see why some would want to ban him. However, to actually do it is absurd.
What's next for you guys across the pond? Are prison camps for political defectors going to become full?
