The Labour Government and Jacqui are determined to waste more money getting the ID system up and running, whether we like it or not. Not only will YOUR data be shared amongst every single government department like the NHS, DVLA, TRAVELOGS, SOCIAL SERVICE, CONTACTPOINT (CHILD DATABASE) and POLICE but now she is going to make sure the INLAND REVENUE get access too. So, your most personal details will be available to a huge part of the population (think of how many government departments there are) to peruse, use and abuse as they wish. The DVLA will be able to check if you are meant to be driving if you have a dodgy ticker or should be wearing glasses and the Police will be able to check whether you owe the taxman any dosh when you get pulled up at a random "Drink Drive" campaign at Christmas. Your bank details will be made available to the "central database" too, especially when you use your ID as proof of identity to pay by credit or debit card. The government is hoping to be able to catch you spending more than you earn and then it will be down on you like a ton of bricks!
So, if your granny shoves your inheritance to you in an envelope or if your uncle decides he wants to buy you a car, you will have to make sure that nothing enters your bank account and that any purchases you make are in cash or you will have the taxman after you pretty damn quick. If you do a bit of trading on ebay or a couple of private jobs at the weekend to make ends meet, make sure everything you buy with the money is in cash. The Government will be watching you!!!
Even if you don't mind all this happening to you right now, you have to look to where this is going. It's nasty.... imagine you are on job seekers and a family member or mate give you a few quid to have a good evening out, you may even get drunk and a bit out of order. You are seen on CCTV. Your face is matched up to your ID and the government can send round the police or tax inspectors if they think you are making money on the side to go out or if you they think you have been too rowdy and should arrest you. Just use your imagination, anything and everything that you do will be under scrutiny. Cheating on your husband or wife is going to be out of the question unless you can get round the whole system. Joining a facebook group petitioning the government for change may eventually get you arrested for dissident behaviour. Your free speech and freedom will be gone and it will not be easy to turn things around once they are in place.
If you consider the amount of times you have read that the Government have lost data from various departments, you ain't seen nothing! The Inland Revenue is notorious for losing personal data. With the new ID Cards of course, your bank details and statements will also probably be included if they get their way, just great for identity thieves, the perfect package to rip you off and as most of you know, it's not easy to prove your identity was stolen and getting a refund is an utter pain.
In light of the way the politicians have milked the system, I suggest you all now join
If you want your private life, kept private, sign up and whatever happens, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR AN ID CARD. If there are no takers, they will have to cancel the project. The Conservatives have said they will cancel the ID Scheme when they are in power, so we only have to resist until an election is called. The Government will tell you they are doing this to prevent terrorism, do you really think a terrorist is going to queue for an ID card? I give it a couple of months, max and they'll be forging them and stealing YOUR identity and everything else that you have......

Mmmm... this WILL be reality if you let this evil government and Jacqui Smith get their way. Only YOU can prevent it. Spread the word, tell your friends, family, workmates, everyone, that you will not relinquish your freedom to any government. It's the government that serve US, not the other way around. Just remember, Jacqui has ripped off the taxpayer and everything has gone quiet now, she has neither been asked to pay any money back, nor is she being investigated!
The only way this wank government will be able to include me to their ID card list scheme is if I'm dead.

I live in Spain and the Spanish Government ignore nearly everything the EU says, so does Italy. Why do we blindly do as we are told? There's something fishy going on, or the UK government are whimps OR they agree!

I agree with CryBaby. They'll have to kill me before they get all this data on me. There IS something fishy going on Sue - there's a greater plan at work. GB is loathed to call an Election for example because it doesn't fit into his greater scheme - he's a Mason don't forget - and part of the 'New World Order' brigade!
